Gauteng North hosts one Regional Championship at the beginning of each year to select the GN Children, Junior, Cadet, Senior and Veteran teams for the SA Trials and various National Championships. These championships are determined by WKF rules and are White to Black Belt divisions. For more info visit the links on this page and look at the WKF rules under Documents. 

Later the year we also host a Developent Championship where a team is selected to compete at selected championships against other regions or organisations. This event is only open to members who are not in the current Regional GN Team and who have never before won a medal at a National Championship. These championships are also determined by WKF rules but to encourage and develop these athletes we use different belt (level) and age groups for the divisions. Red and Brown belts are used as table officials and black belts are developed as referees.
